A puffer you can wear as the outer layer

Zip it over a long-sleeve base layer on a dry, windy morning and the quilted shell does the outer work: it blocks wind and repels light rain, while nine carbon-fiber panels warm the back of your neck, the middle and lower back, and the two hand pockets. Hold the chest logo for three seconds and the heat comes on.

The 10,000 mAh bank rides in an inner pocket and has two USB ports, so a phone can share it. We rate it at up to 10 hours on one charge. Take the bank out and the vest goes in the washing machine.

How the heat works

9 carbon-fiber heating elements: neck, mid-back, both sides of the lower back, and around and above the two zippered hand pockets.

Turn it on. Hold the logo on the left chest for 3 seconds; it is the switch.
Set the heat. The same button sets Low, Medium or High.
Turn it off. Hold the button for 3 seconds again; it works with gloves on.

What the travel rules say

FAA PackSafe: Lithium Batteries. Spare lithium batteries, power banks included, travel in carry-on bags only, and a power bank taken off a bag checked at the gate stays with you in the cabin. A rechargeable battery may be rated up to 100 watt hours; with airline approval a passenger may carry up to two spares of 101 to 160 Wh. Watt hours are volts multiplied by amp hours, and the terminals must be protected from short circuit. Read October 1, 2026.
